ABSTRACT
In order to develop potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory compounds, we synthesized (6-acyl-2-benzothiazolinon-3-yl)acetamide / propanamide derivatives and screened their in vivo analgesic and antiinflammatory activities at a single dose of 100 mg/kg in mice by p-benzotquinane-induced writhing test and Carrageenan induced hind paw edema model, respectively. We also determined for their gastric ulceration potential in the tested animals. l-[2-(6-(2-fluorobenzoyl)-2-benzothiazolinon-3-yl)acetylJ-4-(4-fluoro-phenyl)piperazine (Compound 7i) exhibited the highest analgesic and, anti-inflammatory.
